Lexi update...

As many of you know Alexa had tubes put in both her ears this morning. We arrived at the hospital for 6:30 and they took us in the back around 7:00. As soon as we got to the back they had a teddy bear and some happy med waiting for her. The nurses fell head over heels in love with her. She went with all of them. Her medicine kicked in about 5 minutes later and it was the funniest thing ever. She would laugh and laugh and try to mimic Jason. When they came to take her to surgery she didn't know or care what was going on. She was in surgery for no more than 10 minutes. We were then called back to go and be with her and this is when it broke my heart. She was so unhappy and miserable. She fought, slapped and cried the whole time in there and on the way home. Once we were home I took her in her bedroom and sat on the floor with her and she calmed down then went to sleep. All in all it was a very fast surgery and it went very well. The Dr said her ear was worse today than it was last week so I'm glad we did it. I loved the Dr and I loved the place where we did her procedure. The nurses were very nice and caring for Alexa and she loved them too. Well at first she did anyway. Thanks everyone who called me very early this morning to wish us luck. Hopefully this will be the last surgery she ever has! Sorry no pics! I forgot my camera :(
